There are 2 main types of recumbent tricycles which are available. Tadpole tricycles will incorporate 2 wheels in the front while delta tricycles will incorporate 2 wheels in the back. Tadpole tricycles will typically be more aerodynamic as the rider is seated lower and have a larger gear range.
