If your high electric bills have been stressing you out you may want to check out domestic solar power. Once you’ve set up your solar panels, you can have free solar energy for most of the year. It can knock a large chunk off of your electricity bill very quickly, sometimes up to 60%, which is money right in your pocket.

During the winter, solar panels can be a bit iffy considering the sun spends most of its time hiding behind the clouds. This can be worked around by installing a secondary power source such as a permanent magnetic generator or windmills, both of which will work year round.

If you’re the type that doesn’t mind a DIY project to get the solar panels up and running, domestic solar power could be great for your home. Not only do you get to save on your power bill, but you can take the moral high ground of not polluting the planet.
