The stock market can be fun when it is going up and very depressing when it goes down day after day. There are people that try to learn how to make money but no matter what they do they seem to lose. These people need a book like Stock Market For Dummies or some other type book that will explain to them the basics of stock investing and the mentality you have to have.

In previous decades when the internet did not exist for ordinary people, there were many fewer opportunities for people to make money learn and research, now people do all manner of things to get by, and more and more work for themselves. There are so many ways to make money nowadays that its surprising how many people still think working a 9 to 5 job is the only option for them. If you work for yourself you dont need qualifications you dont need that university degree you dont need anyone elses approval - you just need the initial setup cost. Of course this is why the internet is now the main way people start businesses because there are very low costs involved. Other ways include trading stocks but again this requires capital.
