09 personalised number plates launch. December 2nd sees the launch of the 09 number plates. Although they cannot be used until March 09 and then it has to be used on a vehicle registered after 1st March 2009, neverthe less for people expecting to get a new car in 2003 it is a chance to get the registration number they want in advance as they have 12 months to assign the number.
